Day 2:

In an age where technology has taken over, we text more then we talk, we email more than we laugh, we have little face2face communication. We lack in personal communication skills in an age where communication is key. Facebook and Twitter age. The 21st century.

There are some things in life that deserve more than a sentence to the world via a facebook update or tweet. Death springs to mind, as does anything you wouldn't stand up on a chair and shout in a public setting. Many have lost all sense of curtosy, understanding, and/or compassion. We lack these qualities in a time and age when they are needed most. We live in a numb, dangerous, threatening, scrutinizing society. We need each other. Everyone needs someone to lean on, someone to cry to/with, someone to laugh with, and someone feel with. We all could use a person who can tell your thoughts, feelings, emotions etc with just a subtle glance. To know your joy and your pain in an instant. Relationships like these are forever. They are deep rooted, beautiful. It makes us vulnerable. It makes us human.

In conclusion, the goal here is to be a better listener, be a better friend, be a better person. Laugh more, love deeper, make lasting relationships deep rooted and true. I will strive to be a more gracious individual and better appreciate the words of others as they are spoken to me. Find purpose, be understanding aand compassionate.
